Let Me Repeat, Just Who Do You Think is Just?

Romans 3:1-8

1 Who has the advantage? Jews or Gentiles? Circumcised or uncircumcised?

2 To whom did God entrust His Word?

3 Did some without faith destroy God’s faithfulness?

4 Don’t the Scriptures justify God’s judgment of sinners?

5 God is not unrighteous for His judgment on us.

6 If God is unrighteous, how can He judge the world?

7 If my slander glorifies God, why am I still judged sinful?

8 Shall we do evil that good and God’s glory may come?

We Ought to Practice What We Preach

Romans 2:17-29

17-20: Who Does the Jew Think He Is?
17 - He thinks his ancestral blood justifies him
18-His Law justifies him
19- His light justifies him
20 - His superiority justifies him

21-24: What Does God Think of the Jew?
21 - God says they teach others but not themselves
21 - They preach against theft but steal
22 - They speak against idolatry and rob temples
22 - They speak against adultery and commit it
23 - They boast of the Law and break it
24 - They despise God by being hypocrites

25-29: Who is Purified by Circumcision
25 - Only those who keep the Law
26 - Obeyers would be considered justified
27 - Obeyers would condemn disobeyers
28 - True Jews are not purified externally

Conclusion:
We can’t be justified by our own blood, rules, light, nor superiority.
We can’t be justified and live hypocritically.
We can’t be justified by external flesh but only by internal heart and Spirit

12 - All who Sin Shall Perish

13 - Law doers, not law hearers are just and justified

14-15 - We Would Be Just if We Could Live Justly

16 - Jesus Christ Shall Judge Man By the Gospel

Bible Principles for Today Part 1

Romans 1: 1-7 Introduction

2 Timothy 3:15-16 - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, so that we can learn from it.
2 Peter 1: 20-21 - Holy men wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit

Before you can become practically holy, you need to be positionally holy.
